There is a concept that says we are the product of
our environment. It is certain that everybody would like his or her environment
to produce the best. Unfortunately, it can never happen automatically. It
remains upon every human being in our society to contribute to make our world
better. And, what is the best place to begin? It is our own community. We have
to get involved and contribute to better our community.
What can we do as individuals? We look around to
figure out what is not right, or what needs improvement in our community. It
could be a big political issue, a religious concern, or a simple neighborhood
problem that needs to be addressed. Whatever it is, we see the problem, and we
take position to lead and participate to make things better. We go about and
start organizing, talking to people, bringing people together. We sit and
address the situation. And, we take strategies and implement solutions for the
problem. By this, we are creating a better world environment. We get to know
each other; we solve the problem together; and we place ourselves in a position
to raise our children together for a more prosperous society.
By getting involved in our community, we are making
the best of our environment and producing the best of ourselves for our own
benefit and that of the greater world.
